Who We Are: Fisher Associates, P.E., L.S., L.A., D.P.C, is a multidisciplinary design services firm headquartered in Rochester, NY, with eight locations nationwide. The firm provides civil/site engineering, transportation engineering, electrical engineering, landscape architecture, architecture, planning, environmental, surveying, GIS, construction inspection, precast engineering and construction engineering services to public and private sector clients across numerous markets. All services are delivered through the firm’s signature “Clientship” philosophy, emphasizing customized, innovative quality solutions and an exceptional client experience driven by clear communication, deep expertise, and proactive client advocacy.

Essential Functions

  • Develop grading plans, site layouts, and utility designs for various projects.
  • Create stormwater management plans, including detention/retention basins, low-impact development, and green infrastructure.
  • Design water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems per local code and utility requirements.
  • Prepare effective and high-quality project documents including designs, calculations, cost estimates, reports, permit applications, construction plans, and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of project details, progress reports, and budget information.
  • Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Perform and ensure work is completed with appropriate levels of QA/QC at every stage of design.
  • Work closely with clients and regulatory agencies to prepare and facilitate permit approvals.
  • Manage oversight of construction projects to monitor progress and ensure conformance to plans and standards.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure conformance to design intent.
  • Collaborate with team members, consultants, and clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Land Development projects.

Salary Range: $83,000 - $98,000 annually.

Note: Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and other factors. Salary range excludes benefits.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred).
  • 5-15 years of engineering experience in Land Development.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • EIT required; PE license or ability to obtain it.
