Who We Are

Fisher Associates, P.E., L.S., L.A., D.P.C, is a multidisciplinary design services firm headquartered in Rochester, NY, with eight locations nationwide. The firm provides civil/site engineering, transportation engineering, electrical engineering, landscape architecture, architecture, planning, environmental, surveying, GIS, construction inspection, precast engineering and construction engineering services to public and private sector clients across numerous markets. All services are delivered through the firm’s signature “Clientship” philosophy, which emphasizes not only customized, innovative quality solutions but also an exceptional client experience driven by clear communication, deep expertise, and proactive client advocacy.

Essential Functions
  • Develop grading plans, site layouts, and utility designs for commercial, residential, institutional, and industrial projects.
  • Create stormwater management plans, including detention/retention basins, low-impact development, and green infrastructure.
  • Design water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems per local code and utility requirements.
  • Accurately prepare effective and high-quality project documents including designs, calculations, cost estimates, reports, permit applications, construction plans, and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of project details, progress reports, and budget information.
  • Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Perform and ensure work is completed with appropriate levels of QA/QC at every stage of design
  • Work closely with clients and regulatory agencies to prepare and facilitate approval of permit applications and plans.
  • Manage oversight of construction projects to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure conformance to design intent.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support Land Development compliance and project success.
Salary Range:

$83,000 - $98,000 annually

Requirements
Education & Experience
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (MS preferred).
  • 5-15 year’s minimum of engineering experience in the Land Development sector with knowledge of multiple aspects of civil engineering and site design
  • Proficient with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
  • EIT required
  • Professional Engineering license (PE) or ability to obtain it.
