Pape-Dawson Engineers in Sarasota, FL is seeking an Engineer II to join our Land Development team. You will contribute to planning, design, and delivery of diverse commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects, working with senior engineers and project managers to gain ownership of tasks.

You'll expand technical skills, advance toward licensure, and build project leadership through experience on challenging local projects in the Sarasota area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (ABET-accredited).
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT/EI) certification.
• At least 1 year of civil or land development engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of civil design principles, codes, standards.
• Experience with common engineering design software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare civil site development plans for commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects.
• Perform grading, earthwork, drainage, and stormwater analyses with supporting calculations.
• Develop construction documents, reports, exhibits for concept through permitting and construction.
• Support zoning, entitlement, and permitting by coordinating with reviewing agencies.
• Coordinate with cross-discipline team members to create practical, constructible solutions.
• Communicate technical information clearly in plans, calculations, and meetings.
• Manage assigned tasks and meet project deadlines.
