Job summary

gpac is seeking a Civil Design Engineer with land development experience to support a range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects in the Nashville area. You’ll contribute from planning through final design, collaborating with clients, regulators, and internal teams to craft practical engineering solutions.

The role emphasizes mentorship, teamwork, and opportunities to grow technical and professional skills while delivering efficient site designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in civil site design or land development.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial development projects.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site development plans including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater designs.
• Assist with feasibility studies, due diligence, and technical reports.
• Develop engineering calculations and construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and permitting agencies.
• Support local and state permitting efforts and regulatory approvals.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute engineering solutions.
• Maintain quality, accuracy, and attention to detail throughout design.
