Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. in Midlothian, VA is seeking a Land Coordinator to assist the Land Department with development, acquisitions, and land/lot purchases, ensuring timely project completion.

You will run land reports, oversee files, coordinate HUD approvals, manage budget updates, prepare funding requests, and support permit processing and vendor contracts, while conducting business ethically and professionally. This role may require travel overnight and overtime to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or two to three years related experience.
• Fortune 500 company experience is a plus, team players encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of land development, acquisitions and land/lot purchases
• Run various land reports
• Oversee file, setup, distribution and maintenance
• Coordinate and secure HUD approval for specific projects
• Generate purchase orders for land acquisition feasibility and development work
• Prepare and submit weekly Funding Requests and Coding Sheets at closing
• Assist with Land permit processing and track permit status
• Order surety bonds and letters of credit; assist with bond paperwork
• Vendor contract administration and related inquiries
• Act as point of contact for Homeowners' Associations and coordinate HOA documents
• Coordinate with attorneys for HOA disclosures in home purchase agreements
• Manage and update project budgets
• Assist with market studies for new projects
• Oversee monumentation, site elements and design themes
• Work on projects as delegated by the manager
• Maintain professional and ethical conduct to serve customers and company利益
• Able to work overtime
• Able to travel overnight

Education

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
