D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Land Acquisition Coordinator to organize and maintain land/lot contracts and feasibility through closing for the Land Acquisition and Land Development teams.

The role emphasizes meticulous file management, accurate documentation, and timely coordination with title agents and consultants. You will support permit timelines, prepare deal sheets, track critical dates, and assist with HOA documentation while ensuring compliance and professional execution.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required, two-year college/technical school.
• 3–5 years of related experience and/or training.
• Advanced Excel knowledge and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, organize, and maintain land/lot contract files.
• Assist in the permit process, schedule timelines, and adjustments.
• Prepare analysis/deal sheet for each site.
• Maintain status/critical dates report to ensure deadlines are met.
• Ensure that all required paperwork is completed and distributed to the necessary parties.
• Coordinate closing process with outside title and escrow agents.
• Coordinate HOA setup and governing documents.
• Request and review title, environmental studies, surveys, site plans, etc.
• Coordinate with the Land Development team to generate accurate exhibits.
• Coordinate with various consultants to ensure timely entitlement submissions.
