Position: Red Cedar is looking for a Land Coordinator to join our team. The Land Development Coordinator will be an integral part of our land development team. This role focuses on coordinating and executing various activities related to land development projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, timelines, and budgetary constraints. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in managing all phases of land development projects from conceptualization through completion, including site planning, permitting, and construction.
  2. Collaborate with engineering, design, and construction teams to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
  3. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including permits, survey reports, environmental assessments, and compliance records.
  4. Ensure all project activities comply with local zoning and land use regulations.
  5. Support in budget preparation and tracking project expenses to ensure adherence to financial plans.
  6. Assist in identifying cost-saving measures throughout the development process.
  7. Act as a point of contact between various stakeholders, including contractors, government agencies, and internal teams.
  8. Coordinate meetings and maintain clear communication with all parties involved in land development projects.
  9. Conduct research on market trends, local regulations, and community needs to inform land development strategies.
  10. Maintain organized project files and databases, ensuring accurate record-keeping of all project-related information.
  11. Prepare regular reports and presentations on project status for management review.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in land development coordination or a related role.
  2. Knowledge of land development processes, zoning regulations, and local government approval procedures.
  3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with project management or land development software is a plus.
  6. Demonstrated experience with pay apps.
  7. Familiarity with CAD or GIS software is a bonus.
  8. Proficiency in Procore preferred.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, standard daytime hours; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Job Type:

Full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week

Compensation:

$65,000 - $75,000; Bonus potential

Ability to Commute/Relocate:

Charlotte, NC: Ability to reliably commute or willingness to relocate before starting work (required).

Work Environment:

Land Development Coordinator | Red Cedar: Office-based environment with a business casual dress code. Standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets, are used in this role.
