Job Summary

Urban Grid is seeking a Land and Lease Administrator who will provide clerical and administrative support to the Site Acquisition team. This role will maintain, update, and optimize contract files related to the Land Acquisition function. The position involves working with various departments on contract administration, performing data entry tasks, and carrying out general administrative functions as needed. The ideal candidate should be flexible, capable of working in a dynamic team, and familiar with land and lease management, basic legal contract parameters, and accounting principles. Strong communication and technical skills are essential, along with a passion for land and renewable energy.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing payment requests, contract reports, and onboarding landowners into systems of record
  • Perform administrative duties such as data gathering, spreadsheet preparation, file management, and document retention within land management platforms
  • Update the land contract management system across the company portfolio
  • Support other data management tasks as assigned by the Manager
  • Learn and maintain reports on land acquisition processes
  • Coordinate with community engagement team for landowner onboarding
  • Collaborate with real estate counsel and land acquisition team on recording memorandums
  • Assist in developing SOPs for contract administration throughout project lifecycle
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Location

Remote work is acceptable; preference for candidates in the Eastern Time Zone.

Requirements
  • Educational background may vary; candidates from technology (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) or land (e.g., Real Estate, Law) backgrounds are suitable
  • Proficiency in database management and administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical teams
  • Knowledge of real estate contract terms and ability to extract key provisions from legal documents
  • Familiarity with solar project development phases
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of ARC GIS and ESRI systems is a plus
  • Ability to work well with others and deliver results
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and multitasking abilities
