Taylor Morrison Inc. is seeking a skilled Land Acquisition Manager to identify and evaluate land for development in support of our growth initiatives. You will lead due diligence, negotiate contracts and work with finance to model proformas that support strategic acquisitions.

Based in Florida, you will collaborate with engineers, planners, and legal partners to secure favorable terms, ensure on-time project openings, and contribute to the division's leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or 5 years of direct experience in Land Acquisition
  • Five years of experience in land acquisition/divestiture and development
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to anticipate possible obstacles and propose favorable solutions
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to implementation and execution
  • Concise writing and public speaking/presentation skills desirable for reporting to the senior investment committee

Responsibilities

  • Locate and track land development opportunities using GIS
  • Establish network of brokers to bring acquisition opportunities
  • Negotiate land purchase contracts with outside counsel
  • Collaborate on proformas with Finance Team
  • Conduct due diligence and site inspections
  • Review subdivision/development agreements and environmental requirements
  • Estimate hard/soft costs for proformas
  • Report implications to the Director of Land Acquisition and Division President

SummaryAs a Land Acquisition Manager working for Taylor Morrison you will identify, evaluate and acquire properties that competitively position the division for success.
