About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced and proactive Land Acquisition Manager to lead site identification and secure land agreements for utility-scale and community solar projects across multiple states. In this role, you’ll be the first touchpoint in the project lifecycle, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to evaluate land viability, negotiate agreements, and lay the groundwork for successful project development.

You’ll be a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal and analytical skills, capable of identifying high-potential sites and turning opportunities into long-term land partnerships. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and evaluate land opportunities for solar and storage projects using GIS tools, market knowledge, and local insight.
  2. Negotiate land lease and purchase agreements with landowners across multiple regions.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, brokers, and local stakeholders.
  4. Conduct due diligence on land parcels, including title reviews, zoning, access, environmental constraints, and interconnection proximity.
  5. Collaborate with internal development, legal, and finance teams to ensure site viability and alignment with project goals.
  6. Maintain an organized pipeline of land opportunities, contracts, and deal status updates.
  7. Stay current on market trends, land pricing, and regulatory considerations impacting land acquisition.
  8. Represent the company at community meetings, landowner events, and industry conferences as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  1. 3+ years of experience in land acquisition, site selection, or real estate development—renewable energy experience strongly preferred.
  2. Proven ability to source, negotiate, and secure land agreements with a focus on long-term partnerships.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with an ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
  4. Strong understanding of land use, permitting, zoning, and environmental considerations.
  5. Familiarity with GIS tools and land evaluation platforms is a plus.
  6. Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines.
  7. Willingness to travel occasionally to meet with landowners and visit potential sites.
  8. Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Environmental Science, or a related field.
