Job summary

AMH is seeking a Land Acquisition Analyst in Phoenix, AZ to support the land development team with underwriting, market research, and data analysis. You will prepare property-value analyses for raw land, review zoning, and coordinate ARB approvals with developers and HOAs.

The role requires 2+ years in land acquisitions and 3+ years in financial or business analysis, with a valid driver’s license and strong Excel/CRM skills. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Economics, Statistics, Government Relations, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Real Estate, Economics, Statistics, Government Relations, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of land acquisitions experience, including contract negotiation.
• Minimum 3+ years as a financial or business analyst preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop property value analysis and underwriting for raw land and vacant development lots for acquisitions.
• Prepare time-to-market underwriting proformas and conduct market research in selected markets.
• Prepare graphs, maps, marketing boards, and feature comparisons.
• Review zoning and land use ordinances and coordinate ARB approvals with developers.
• Oversee data for jurisdictions, HOA obligations, and property taxes.
• Process land-related applications and permits for approval; manage contracts and budgets.
