Job summary

Columbia County Georgia seeks a LAN Server Administrator I to design, install, and optimize Windows server and Exchange environments. You will tune servers, manage backups, and help maintain data center security and operations in an office and data center setting.

The role requires VMware ESX virtualization, SAN/NAS storage, TCP/IP networking, Active Directory, and strong problem-solving skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• MCSA on Windows Server 2016 and/or 2019.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Exchange/Exchange Online, MS Office/O365.
• Experience installing, configuring and maintaining server hardware and network equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develops strategies for client/server implementations and infrastructure.
• Administers all e-mail messaging systems and related software/hardware.
• Installs and configures Windows/Exchange servers and related equipment.
• Acts as project lead in server design and capacity planning.
• Manages server storage space and directory services.
• Responds to service desk tickets for server resource issues.
• Configures file systems and manages backups and recovery.
• Monitors e-mail system performance and provides reports.
• Plans server upgrades and patches.
• Analyzes e-mail usage and capacity needs.
• Recommends upgrades and purchases.
• Manages user accounts and access rights.
• Supports data center security features and environment controls.
• Maintains training materials and server documentation.
• Provides on-call technical support.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
