Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Laminator Operator 1 for DAY SHIFT in a cleanroom environment. You will operate and monitor laminators, perform setup and changeovers, and manage process parameters to ensure product quality and safety compliance.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, basic math, the ability to read technical documents, and strong attention to detail. Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience is preferred; high school diploma is required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor 4 laminators in the cleanroom environment.
  • Perform setup, changeovers, and tooling verification (cylinders/rollers).
  • Control process parameters (speed, alignment, temperature, pressure).
  • Keep laminator, tools and area clean per specifications.
  • Inspect product quality and segregate non-conforming material.
  • Complete production documentation accurately.
  • Report and support resolution of mechanical/process issues.
  • Maintain adherence to EHS policies and cGMP cleanroom protocols.

Laminator Operator 1 - DAY SHIFT

Key Purpose of the Role

Operate and monitor 4 laminators in the cleanroom environment to ensure product quality, process efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor at least 2 laminators following product specifications and SOPs
  • Perform setup, changeovers, and tooling (cylinders/rollers) verification
  • Control process parameters (speed, alignment, temperature, pressure)
  • Ensure Laminator, tools and area around the laminator remains clean according to specifications.
  • Inspect product quality and segregate non-conforming material
  • Complete production documentation accurately
  • Report and support resolution of mechanical/process issues
  • Maintain adherence to EHS policies and cGMP-compliant cleanroom protocols, ensuring a controlled manufacturing environment
  • Flexibility to cover and/or interchange between day and night shift as needed by the company (including but not limited to cover for leaves of absence, vacation, position vacancy, etc.)

Work Environment / Physical Demands
  • Employees occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, electronics and other light industrial equipment. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Will perform tasks inside cleanroom and must follow cleanroom work instructions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Physically capable of performing tasks associated with the responsibilities, such as but not limited to: frequent standing, walking, sitting, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; work on an elevated platform or surface; and talk, see and hear.
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Employees must frequently push or pull material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and or material carts carrying loads in excess of 1000lbs.
  • PPE provided by Employer: Toe protection, safety glasses, cut/heat resistant gloves, hearing protection & specialized lifting equipment
