Laminator Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

Schedule: 8:45pm to 5:15am, Monday through Friday

Salary: $20 to $28 per hour (depending on experience)

Job description and requirements

We are seeking a full-time Lamination Operator to support our Elgin plant. Key responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the previous shift's Lamination Operator regarding machine status.
  • Prepare the laminator for start-up, including ensuring proper glue ratios, cleaning rollers and the machine, and inspecting for scratches.
  • Complete all forms and reports in English, including the Quality Control report for each roll of film.
  • Report equipment or material issues immediately to the supervisor.
  • Participate in shift change clean-up and ensure roll racks are cleaned.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and communicate defects downstream.
  • Report hazards or safety violations to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Lamination Operator preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Good communication skills in English (reading, writing, listening, speaking)
