Job summary

Lear Corporation is seeking operators in the Lamination Department to run feeds on In, Buttweld, or Exit End lines. The role focuses on safe production, precise machine setup, and ongoing quality checks.

The position requires following detailed procedures, lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while supporting lean manufacturing practices. Training opportunities are available to enhance skills and safety.”

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe work environment and identify training opportunities to reduce accidents and injuries.
  • Position full A-frame; align fabric edge to the machine using sensors and controls.
  • Start machine, monitor fabric, and inspect for defects per SOP/Work instructions.
  • Change rolls, perform style changes, clock in/out work orders, and cut samples for lab.
  • Conform to future changes with flatbed; support daily production goals.
  • Receive verbal instructions, fetch tools and supplies, and manage work tools.

Job description

Under the direction of the Lamination Department Direct Operators must be ableperform the duties at Feed In, Buttweld, or Exit End.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure a safe work environment and identify training opportunities to reduce accidents and employee injuries.
  • Position full A-frame.
  • Align fabric edge to machine using machine sensors and controls, work with recording data into the computer, multiple system usage in the ICE stations
  • Start machine and give attention to fabric running; inspect fabric for defects, according to SOP/Work instructions. Stop Machine
  • Change rolls, perform style changes, clock in, and out work orders. Cut sample for lab.
  • Conform to future changes coming with flatbed.
  • Ensure that daily production goals
  • Receive verbal instructions, get work tools, store them as well as get supplies
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Effectively execute tasks
  • Lean manufacturing experience is strongly desired
ABILITY TO
  • Ability to accurately and consistently follow detailed procedures.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast- paced environment.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work such as moving and lifting equipment, sitting, or standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to grasp concepts presented within a reasonable time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
