Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc. in Pataskala, OH seeks a Lamination Technician to operate and maintain production equipment within a fast-paced team focused on meeting precise specifications. You will work with production, safety, quality and engineering to ensure consistent product quality.

The role requires prior manufacturing experience, teamwork, and adherence to work instructions. Schedule is Mon-Thu 6am-4:30pm with paid breaks, starting pay up to $21.50/hr and eligibility for benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma / GED preferred.
  • Two years of job related experience including machine operator / maintenance.
  • Overhead crane operation certification required; to be acquired on the job within 90 days.
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math including reading a tape measure.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and/or maintain machines; follow work instructions.
  • Monitor running conditions to meet quality and production goals.
  • Assist with changeover procedures and material handoffs.
  • Record tags and labels for production rolls/orders while machine runs.
  • Enter data into ERP system and support data accuracy.
  • Perform quality inspections and coordinate with supervisor for adjustments.

Job description

Job Title: Lamination Technician
Location: Pataskala, OH
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30am
  • (2) 15 min paid breaks and (1) 30 min unpaid lunch
Pay Rate: Starting up to $21.50/hr
Job Summary:

Candidate must have manufacturing experience with machine operation or maintenance experience. Candidate must be comfortable working in production as part of a team with specific production goals. Previous work experience in a fast-paced environment, operating machines or heavy equipment to specific measurements or print specifications is required. The person selected will be working directly with other members of the production team, safety, quality and engineering.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Machine operator and/or machine maintenance experience
  • Ability to learn and follow work instructions
  • Perform and adhere to Lock Out Tag Out safety standards
  • Monitor and troubleshoot machines and processes by checking running conditions such as speed of output, pressure, temperatures, wind and unwind tensions to ensure quality and production goals are met
  • Plan, organize and actively participate in activities such as change-over procedures, instructing material handlers to provide needed materials, recording tags and labels for production rolls/orders while machine is running.
  • Assist with data entry and management through ERP system
  • Perform Quality Inspections and make appropriate decisions with input or advice from the supervisor regarding line speed, quality of product adjustments and machine maintenance.
  • Meet / Exceed production standards

  • Maintains neat and clean work environment following 5S methodology
  • Makes recommendations to continually improve processes

  • High School diploma / GED preferred
  • Proven commitment to quality complaince and productivity
  • Two years of job related experience required, including machine operator / maintenance
  • Overhead crane operation certification required. Must be acquired on the job within 90 days
  • Ability to identify thermal, electrical and pneumatic concerns
  • Ability to follow work instructions from start up to shut down
  • Knowledge of company safety, OSHA and department policies and procedures including Lock Out Tag Out
  • Good applied interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math functions including reading a tape measure
  • Ability to be self-motivated
Workplace Experience:
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
Ergonomic Requirements:
  • Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time
  • Ability to use Power Tools safely
