The Lamination Technician performs a wide variety of fiberglass lamination tasks in the Resin Transfer Molding department. Tasks performed include mold preparation for gel coaters, removing fiberglass from mold, and transporting finished parts into hole cut booth. This position will be required to lift heavy objects multiple times a day and may also include gel coating, bracing, and various PI tasks.

Maintains and adjusts resin mixers and pumps.
Reads production schedule and ensures parts are being completed and moved on to the next station in a timely manner.
Must follow all safety standards and procedures, including chemical handling standards and Personal Protective Equipment
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements include wearing respirators, gloves, chemical resistance aprons, and chemical resistant suits
Ability to use hand, battery, and pneumatic tools

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
A minimum of 1 year of related boating building experience preferred
3 years fiberglass lamination experience preferred
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Ability to read a tape measure
Ability to read and understand a production schedule
Requires ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, powered and manual
Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment, using protective clothing and respirator
Ability to pass a respirator fit test
May be required to work in a non-air-conditioned area.
The job requires lifting up to 50 lbs. independently and over 50 lbs. with team assistance, following proper safety protocols.
Ability to work in a fast paced, noisy environment.
The pay range for this position is $20.90 - $23.65 , hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
