Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Houston, TX is seeking a Lamination Material Handler to move and store raw materials for the lamination process while maintaining accurate inventory and safety standards.

You will follow GMPs and HACCP guidelines, document inventories, report incidents, and adapt to shifting priorities on the manufacturing floor. Candidates should have a high school diploma and be able to read, write English (Spanish preferred); forklift/pallet jack experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong time management and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Good Housekeeping practices for all activities.
• Immediately report to supervisor any incident or unsafe condition identified in the workplace.
• Accurately store and organize the movement of materials, rolls, and PVC cores safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of PVC cords.
• Properly dispose of scrap materials and keep the area clean and orderly.
• Adapt to changing priorities and workloads as needed.
• Responsible for plant sanitation and monitoring action plans to maintain GMPs and orderly housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Details: Job Location: Houston, TX 77041, The Lamination Material Handler position is responsible for the efficient movement and storage of raw materials used in the lamination process, ensuring accurate inventory control, quality standards and safety protocols.

DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for plant sanitation and monitoring action plans to maintain sound GMP’s and orderly housekeeping.

COMPETENCIES

• Must have general knowledge of packaging equipment principles and provide basic maintenance.
• Demonstrate knowledge of relevant equipment policies and procedures.
• Must be knowledgeable of GMPs and HACCP.
• Ability to use different authorized solvents.
• Ability to read and analyze information.
• Excellent time management.
• Be able to read and write (Spanish or English).

EXPERIENCE

• Preferred experience in manufacturing, preferably in flexible plastic packaging.
• Previous experience operating pallet jack a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
• Ability of repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, carrying, going up and down ladders/steps.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to interpret instructions effectively.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures and chemicals.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• Need to have own transportation to visit more than one facility during the day.
