Lamination Machine Operator 1 / Salisbury, MA
JOB CLASSIFICATION:
Non-Exempt Manufacturing Associate
POSITION REPORTS TO:
Lamination Lead
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Follows the written and verbal instructions of Supervisors and operators to meet the requirements of the production schedule. Insure the handling of coated goods production. Maintains continual monitoring of assigned manufacturing equipment as to conformance to quality standards. Responsibility for meeting established production rates for assigned equipment. Responsible for cleanliness of work area. Responsible for minimizing scrap. Follows all safety and company policy requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
OFollows the requirements of the assigned SAP schedule to meet production demand.
OReads the order for the specific material.
OConfirms that the material on the machine matches the SAP order.
OHelps with machine set up based upon established specifications.
OTakes samples to give to QA
OReports the finished product to SAP order.
OStore the product using a forklift (after attaining Forklift certification - Milliken provides the training)
OUnloads and loads lamination equipment with material.
OAdjusts equipment to maintain proper quality standards.
OCleans production area and assigned equipment.
ONotifies Supervisor and/ or operator of any problems.
OCompletes projects and tasks assigned.
OAdvises the Production Manager on issues and improvements pertaining to areas of responsibility.
OCleans pumps and other production equipment.
OAdvises Supervisor/Leadership on issues regarding safety.
OEnsures the compliance of procedures to all company policies.
OAny other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisor or other higher-level managers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School degree or GED
* - Ability to communicate at all levels and with the ability to understand and communicate ideas both verbally and written.
* - Familiar with the Operation of production machinery
* - Ability to understand Production Schedules
* - Good mechanical skills
* - Ability to calculate and problem solve
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to speak, read, write in both English and Spanish
AUTHORIZED TRAINING TIME

WORK ENVIRONMENT/SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION
This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position is a safety-sensitive position and regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud. Temperatures can vary depending upon the time of year and outside impacts.
SHIFT/WORK HOURS
Shift schedule will depend on open positions at time of hire and will be communicated with new hire paperwork. Weekends and holidays are scheduled depending on business demands.
