Job summary

Kronospan is seeking a day electrician to perform repairs, preventive/predictive maintenance, testing, and process improvements on a broad range of equipment. You will troubleshoot malfunctions, repair and restore operation, and may work overtime to cover shifts as needed.

The role requires strong communication, attendance, and problem-solving skills, plus experience with power/tools and advanced maintenance procedures. Join Kronospan's manufacturing team to support reliable production.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving.
  • Advanced experience using power tools, measuring devices, and other hand tools.
  • Experience in performing advanced preventive maintenance procedures.
  • The ability to work with others in identifying and solving complex manufacturing problems.
  • The ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical, architectural, and mechanical diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
  • Advanced knowledge of procedures to test for, locate, and repair electrical malfunctions.
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, electrical (incl power supplies, motor drives, & transformers), electronic (incl programmable and numeral controls), and pneumatic equipment and systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles.

Job Description

The purpose of the day electrician's position is to perform repairs, preventive/predictive maintenance, testing, and process improvements on all mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems. The electrician must rely on their knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles in order to troubleshoot malfunctions to equipment and systems and to repair and restore operation.
