Job summary

Kronospan is seeking an Automation Tech to support electrical maintenance, installation, testing, and improvements of production and support equipment. You will help lead the electrical maintenance group to maximize uptime and production.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, implementing modifications, and ensuring safety compliance while coordinating with operations. On-call 24/7 role with growth opportunities within a global wood-panel leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Ability to teach others in person and via tele-conference.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of competency in the use/understanding of Allen‑Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs and communication protocols; knowledge of visualization (Wonderware, PanelView, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, test and improve production and support equipment.
• Lead electrical maintenance group to maximize uptime and production.

Job Description

The purpose of the Automation Tech's position is to assist in all aspects of electrical maintenance, installation, testing, and improvements & modifications of production and support equipment. The position also assists in leading the electrical maintenance group to maximize production capabilities through minimizing downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering or similar field of study OR equivalent experience
• Ability to teach others both in person and via tele-conference
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High level of competency in the use/understanding of Allen‑Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs and communication protocols; knowledge of visualization (ex. Wonderware, PanelView, etc.)

Preferred Candidates Have Experience In Wood Panel Processing.

This is an on-call, 24/7 position.
