Job summary

GE Vernova in Grand Forks, ND is hiring for a blade fabrication/maintenance role. The candidate will trim, scuff, and reinforce different blade types, following evolving work instructions and safety protocols. The job requires handling tools and machinery, operating under confined space rules, and maintaining cleanliness and quality standards.

The position shifts are Mon-Fri, 10pm-6:30am, with a base pay range of $22.88–$27.15 per hour for U.S. applicants.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift or carry objects up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull heavy objects.
• Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Ability to work with hands for extended periods.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Requires usage of respirator.
• Lam I, Lam II certifications (not required - must complete practical to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and adapt to changes.
• Scuff laminate surface with pneumatic grinder and remove gloss.
• Remove laminate defects with pneumatic tools.
• Apply glue to areas with voids inside and outside the blade.
• Adhere to confined space plan when inside the blade.
• May work with various chemicals.
• Grind excess glass and resin inside and outside the root end.
• Clean inside of blade to remove dust debris.
• Wear prescribed PPE and follow health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain 5s standards.
