Job summary

Lumos & Associates is seeking a Survey Project Manager to lead survey projects in the Tahoe region from our Lake Tahoe office. The role requires strong leadership and a proven track record in land surveying and project delivery.

The ideal candidate will manage project budgets, mentor staff, and serve as the client liaison while expanding new and repeat business opportunities. A P.L.S. license and experience with GNSS/Trimble gear are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or Geomatics (or equivalent).
• 7+ years of land survey and management experience.
• Nevada and/or California P.L.S. license or reciprocity within 6 months.
• Proficient in delivering projects from field to finish using GNSS and terrestrial equipment.
• Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center.
• Knowledge of photogrammetry, LiDAR, bathymetric surveys is desired.
• Experience leading a technical staff team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct a survey team in responsible charge.
• Develop, implement, and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Coach and delegate tasks; conduct regular workload and scheduling reviews.
• Provide QA/QC oversight for surveys (topographic, boundary, ALTA, land division).
• Serve as primary client contact and promote repeat business.
• Prepare project proposals, qualification statements, and promotional materials.
