Job summary

Isabella Bank is seeking a Teller to handle deposits, withdrawals and customer transactions at our branch. You will verify checks, process deposits, and promote additional banking services. Responsibilities include stocking stations, assisting with account openings and routing payments, while traveling to other branches as needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma and prior cash handling or teller experience is preferred; weekend work and some Saturdays are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Previous cash handling or teller experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive checks and cash for deposits, verify amounts, and enter deposits into records.
• Cash checks and process withdrawals after verification of signatures and balances.
• Promote and explain other banking services such as CDs, safe deposit boxes, traveler’s checks and money orders.
• Receive loan payments and ensure they balance; enter payments and generate receipts.
• Count, check, and package coins and currency.
• Maintain teller stations stocked with forms and supplies.
• Travel to other branches to assist with staffing as needed.
• Assist with account opening procedures.
• Pin ATM/Debit cards.
• Document and file items into synergy.

Position Title: Teller

Reports To: Branch Manager

Schedule: 3-4 days a week, and some Saturdays

Responsibilities:

• Receive checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, examine checks for proper endorsement, and enter deposits into computer records.
• Cash checks and process withdrawals; pay out money after verification of signatures, and customer balances.
• Promote and explain other financial institution services such as CDs, safe deposit boxes, traveler’s checks and money orders.
• Receive mortgage, consumer loan and other payments and ensure the payments match balance due. Enter payments into computer and generate customer receipts.
• Count, check, and package coins and currency.
• Ensure that teller stations are properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
• Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for this position.
• Perform other similar or related duties as necessary.
• Assist with account opening procedures.
• Pin ATM/Debit cards.
• Document and file items into synergy.
• Travel to other branches to assist with staffing may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
