Job summary

Isabella Bank is seeking a part-time Teller to handle deposits, withdrawals, and payments with accuracy and a focus on client service.

You will promote bank products, maintain cash accuracy, and support opening of new accounts while rotating through branches as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Cash handling or teller experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and math skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Receive checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, endorse checks and enter deposits into computer records.
• Cash checks and process withdrawals after verification of signatures and balances.
• Promote bank services such as CDs, safe deposit boxes, traveler’s checks and money orders.
• Receive loan payments and other payments; confirm amount due and record payments.
• Count, check, and package coins and currency; maintain cash drawers.
• Keep teller stations stocked with forms and supplies; maintain neat work area.
• Build positive working relationships with coworkers and customers.
• Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge related to this role.
• Perform other duties as assigned and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Assist with account opening procedures and card issuance as needed.
• Travel to other branches for staffing coverage.

Position Title: Teller

Reports To: Teller Supervisor

Schedule

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, & some Saturdays 8:30 am to 12:15 pm.

Responsibilities

• Receive checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, examine checks for proper endorsement, and enter deposits into computer records.
• Cash checks and process withdrawals; pay out money after verification of signatures, and customer balances.
• Promote and explain other financial institution services such as CDs, safe deposit boxes, traveler’s checks and money orders.
• Receive mortgage, consumer loan and other payments and ensure the payments match balance due. Enter payments into computer and generate customer receipts.
• Count, check, and package coins and currency.
• Ensure that teller stations are properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
• Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for this position.
• Perform other similar or related duties as necessary.
• Deliver outstanding customer service.
• Assist with account opening procedures.
• Pin ATM/Debit cards.
• Document and file items into synergy.
• Travel to other branches to assist with staffing may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
