Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Part-time lactation-focused RN for the Mother Baby Unit. You will collaborate with nursing and medical teams to support newborn and maternal care, and lead lactation education and program delivery.

The role requires CLC/IBCLC certification, Iowa RN license, and foundational training in abuse reporting, BLS, and NRP, with strong patient-family education and research involvement.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license or compact license
• CLC or IBCLC certification required
• Abuse reporting training within 3 months of hire
• BLS for Healthcare Provider within 6 weeks of hire
• NRP certification within 6 weeks of hire
• Demonstrates breastfeeding techniques and collaborative practice

Responsibilities

• Acts as a clinical/educational resource in defined specialty
• Coordinates lactation programs and Mommy and Me classes
• Provides consultation across hospital and community settings
• Participates in committees, research, and evidence-based practice
• Operates with professional judgment under Nurse Practice Act and policy
