Job summary

Memorial Hospital at Gulfport is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to an assigned patient population and to lead coordination of care with an interdisciplinary team to support patient outcomes in Gulfport, MS.

The position requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing, current MS RN license (or temporary permit) and experience in breastfeeding education; familiarity with standard nursing practices, interpreting physicians’ orders, and operating

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited, state-approved school of nursing.
• Current MS RN license or temporary permit (valid for 90 days) or Compact License; IBCLC certification required or must obtain after 1000 hours in lactation.
• One-year clinical experience in a hospital as an RN with breastfeeding education.
• Two years in lactation assistance (preferred).

Job Specifications:

Required Education: Graduation from an accredited, state-approved, school of nursing.

Preferred Education: N/A

Required Licensure: Current MS RN license or temporary permit for same (valid for 90 days only) or Compact License. Eligible for or currently certified by IBCLC. If not IBCLC certified must obtain certification at first opportunity after the required 1000 hours in lactation assistance have been achieved or 2 years.
