The role requires an Associate degree in nursing, RN licensure, BLS, and lactation credentialing (CLC or IBCLC). You’ll provide bedside consultations, document teachings, and collaborate with the LDRP team to improve neonatal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, preferably in nursing.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience.
• BLS Certification and RN licensure required.
• Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) or IBCLC certification.

Responsibilities

• Encourage breastfeeding and provide bedside consultations and follow-ups.
• Evaluate parent and baby interest in breastfeeding.
• Provide specialized help for mothers and educate staff on protocols.
• Document teachings and communicate findings to staff.
• Participate in collecting data on neonatal breastfeeding outcomes.
• Provide information on breast pump rentals or purchases.
