The Clinical Professional Development Educator enhances professional practice and the provision of quality patient care by providing evidence-based quality educational programs and activities that promote professional aptitude for nursing, inter-professional, and non-licensed clinical staff at the assigned facility.
What you will do in this role:
Education/Skills
Associate’s degree required; BSN preferred.
BSN will be required within 3 years of employment.
Professional Nursing Organization membership encouraged
Experience
Minimum of one yearexperience in lactation preferred.
Licenses, Registrations and/or Certifications
Registered Nurse license eligible to practice in the State of Texas required
Current BLS issued from HCA approved vendor required
IBCLC certification required within 1 year of hire if not achieved at time of hire
Certified in Breastfeeding education if doesn’t have IBCLC or hours of breastfeeding education, proof must be provided
NRP issued from HCA approved vendor required
