Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse with lactation specialization to support breastfeeding mothers and newborns in a Florida facility. You will assess, educate, and assist families while maintaining professional interactions and adherence to clinical guidelines.

The role requires an RN license, BLS, and CLC certification, with preference for 1–2 years in maternity or newborn care. PRN day shifts are available in a faith-based setting that values whole-person care.

Qualifications

• RN license and BLS certification required.
• Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) required.
• 1–2 years maternity/newborn experience preferred.
• English proficiency required; interpreter services available.
• Strong communication and teaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner.
• Keep supplies clean and orderly per policy; report needs.
• Participate in community education on breastfeeding and related topics.

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing [Required]
• Ability to use Interpreter service appropriately [Required]
• Additional languages preferred, especially Spanish [Preferred]

Education

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience

• 1+ acute care hospital [Preferred]
• 2+ maternity or newborn experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) [Required]
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Preferred]
• Breastfeeding Counselor (CBC) [Preferred]
