AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS, is seeking a registered nurse with lactation consultant experience for a part-time daytime shift. The role supports new families, provides breastfeeding education, and collaborates with the care team to promote breastfeeding and maternal-infant well-being.

Job Description:

• Supports other consultants as needed.
• Participates in community education opportunities regarding breastfeeding, research projects, speaking engagements, and other company committees.
• Keeps supplies clean and orderly according to policy and reports any needed supplies or educational materials to the supervisor.
• Greets all patients in a friendly, professional manner.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing [Required]
• Ability to use Interpreter service appropriately [Required]
• Additional languages preferred, especially Spanish [Preferred]

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• N/A

Work Experience:

• 1+ acute care hospital [Preferred]
• 2+ maternity or newborn experience [Preferred]
