Job summary

BUCS Super Rugby in Bristol is seeking a lacrosse coach to deliver on-pitch and sports hall sessions for BUCS teams at Lockleaze Sports Centre. You will plan sessions to meet participant needs and contribute to the development of the club.

Essential requirements include a Level 2 lacrosse coaching certificate or progress toward it, coaching experience, and suitable public liability and professional indemnity insurance. You will attend inductions and coordinate with UWE colleagues.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 lacrosse coaching certificate or working towards.
• Have experience coaching delivery for lacrosse.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-pitch and sports hall lacrosse sessions (pre-season, trials, training, BUCS fixtures and friendlies).
• Plan all sessions so they meet participants' needs and are progressive.
• Maintain records of participants' progress.
• Support the student Club Committee to run the club effectively.
• Coordinate lacrosse activity with Centre for Sport and SU colleagues.
• Engage with coach education opportunities at UWE if desired.

Coaching: 2 weekday evenings (Mondays & Sundays) training sessions @ Lockleaze Sports Centre plus Wednesday afternoon BUCS fixtures home and away. Pay: £22 per hour.

Description of Services

• Delivery of on pitch and sports hall sessions (to include pre-season, trials, training, BUCS fixtures and friendlies).
• Plan all sessions so they meet the needs of the participants and are progressive and appropriate.
• Maintain appropriate records of your participants’ progress.
• Support the student Club Committee to run the club effectively.
• Work with Centre for Sport and SU colleaguesto coordinate lacrosse activity.
• Engage with coach education opportunities at UWE if desired.

Please note you must provide a like for like replacement if you are unable to attend a session.

Essential Requirements

• Hold a level 2 lacrosse coaching certificate or working towards.
• Have experience coaching delivery for lacrosse.
• Have £10m Public Liability and £5m Professional Indemnity Insurance.
• Attend coaches induction at the start of the year (or watch the recording), read and familiarize yourself with the coaches handbook and understand UWE policies and procedures, including adhering to finance timescales regarding invoicing.
