Job summary

The Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) seeks a Part-Time Plumber to handle day-to-day plumbing needs across restrooms, kitchens, and related systems during events in downtown Los Angeles. The role requires journeyman level experience, bringing your own hand tools and preparing for inspections, routine checks, and emergency adjustments.

You may support other trades, answer guest questions about the facility, and maintain uniforms and equipment.

Qualifications

• Must perform journeyman level plumbing work.
• Provide own hand tools (screwdrivers, measuring tape, pliers, adjustable wrenches, flashlight).
• Experience with restrooms, kitchens, dishwashers, grease traps, water systems, and related building plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Perform journeyman level plumbing across restrooms, kitchens, dishwashers, grease traps, hood wash down systems, drinking fountains, hot water heaters, and building sewer systems.
• Inspect and service fire sprinkler system and water/air systems as needed.
• Assist other trades when required and support events from start to finish.

The center is committed to delivering excellent service and exceeding expectations for clients and guests at every event.**SUMMARY**The Plumber carries out the day-to-day plumbing needs of the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC).**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**Required to perform journeyman level work. Provides own hand tools required to perform assigned work, including but not limited to, screw drivers, measuring tape, pliers, adjustable wrenches and flashlight. Provide routine daily checks and activities. Responsibilities included, but not limited to, allrestroom fixtures, kitchen fixtures, dishwashers, grease traps, hood wash down system, drinking fountains, hot water heaters, building sewer system, dewatering system, storm drains, air conditioning condensate drains, water usage/conservation, water softener, reverse osmosis, and perform systemcheck on fire sprinkler system. May be required on occasion to lend support to other trades. Ability to answer guest questions regarding the facility.
