Job summary

The International Republican Institute (IRI) in Washington DC is looking for a Program Manager for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Team. This role involves managing grants, leading project teams, and ensuring programmatic compliance. The ideal candidate has a background in democratic governance, strong communication skills, and fluent Spanish.

This hybrid position requires 3 days in the office weekly, and the compensation is anticipated to be between $80,000 and $90,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Five years professional experience in democratic governance and politics.
• Knowledge of the assigned region's political dynamics and governance landscape.
• Experience preparing and negotiating project proposals.

Responsibilities

• Manage grants and oversee project teams for LAC region.
• Lead project design and development of country strategies.
• Ensure compliance with funder and IRI policies.

Skills

Fluent in Spanish

Strong written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated management experience

Extensive experience with USG funded projects

Education

Undergraduate degree in political science or related field

Graduate degree preferred
