Job summary

iRF Solutions in Sparks, MD is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to design and implement automated testing for state-of-the-art microwave products. You will primarily use LabVIEW to build test routines interfacing with commercial equipment for complex testing tasks.

The role emphasizes software verification, reusable libraries, and integration with external systems. On-site in Sparks with a 9/80 schedule; secure work environment and collaboration in a small team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and relevant software experience is required.
• LabVIEW experience for automated testing is required.
• Strong data acquisition, signal processing and hardware interfacing with SCPI.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and understand instrumentation.
• Experience with RF test equipment such as network/spectrum analyzers, signal generators, scopes.
• Eligible for US government security clearance; detail-oriented and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug and maintain LabVIEW applications for RF test automation.
• Create user interfaces, state machines and modular, scalable code.
• Maintain LabVIEW libraries, drivers and UI components.
• Plan and execute software verification to ensure reliability.
• Integrate LabVIEW with databases, serial devices, LXI, GPIB.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement device control in automation.
• Provide on-site support and troubleshoot deployed test systems.
• Maintain version control and apply software development best practices.
