Job summary

Planet Group is seeking a LabVantage LIMS Developer/Consultant for a remote, contract role in the Eastern Time zone. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of LIMS implementation experience, strong SDLC, and proven ability to design integrations with ERP/PLM/SDMS.

You will design, configure, validate, and deploy LabVantage solutions, support data migration, and collaborate with distributed teams in an Agile environment. Duration is 6 months with potential extension.

Qualifications

• 5+ years capturing requirements for configuration, documentation, and data migration.
• 7+ years creating requirement specifications based on architecture/design and detailed functionality.
• Experience designing integrations with ERP, PLM, SDMS, and other business systems.
• LabVantage modules include Workflows, Request Management, Advanced Storage & Logistics, Package Management.
• Must have SDLC and database concepts (Oracle and SQL Server) with integration design.
• Master data setup and data migration (master and legacy data).
• Jasper Reports and BarTender labels.
• Instrument integrations using SDMS.

Job description

LabVantage LIMS Developer / Consultant - Contract - Remote (US) - Eastern Time

This role requires 7+ years of LabVantage LIMS implementation experience (v8.6+), including hands-on development/configuration, solution evaluation, validation/testing, and deployment, plus 7+ years creating requirements/specifications based on architecture/design and detailed process needs. Ideal candidates also bring 5+ years capturing requirements for configuration/customization, documentation, and data migration/process mapping, experience designing integrations/interfaces (ERP/PLM/SDMS), strong SDLC + database fundamentals (Oracle and SQL Server), and comfort partnering with globally distributed teams in an Agile environment.

Pay Range: $80-$85/hr. (1099)

Work Arrangement: Remote

Duration: 6 months with potential extension

Responsibilities

Lab Systems Architecture & LIMS Delivery

• Design, develop, configure, and support LabVantage LIMS (v8.6+) solutions to meet laboratory and business requirements.
• Create technical specifications, architecture documentation, and detailed design documents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and globally distributed teams in an Agile development environment.

LabVantage Configuration, Modules & Integrations

• Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements from business stakeholders.
• Develop and enhance LabVantage workflows and modules including Workflows, Request Management, Advanced Storage & Logistics, and Package Management.
• Design and develop integrations between LabVantage and enterprise applications such as ERP, PLM, SDMS, and other business systems.
• Design and support instrument integrations through SDMS and related interfaces.
• Develop and maintain reports using Jasper Reports and labels using BarTender.

Validation/Compliance (GxP / 21 CFR Part 11)

• Perform system configuration, customization, validation, testing, and deployment activities.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, validation requirements, and laboratory best practices.

Production Support/Upgrades/Continuous Improvement

• Provide ongoing application support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
• Support data migration activities including master data setup, legacy data analysis, transformation, and migration.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of LabVantage LIMS implementation experience to include LabVantage development, configuration, solution evaluation, validation, and deployment.
• 5+ years of experience capturing requirements related to configuration/customization, documentation, and data migration analysis and process mapping.
• 7+ years of experience creating requirement specifications based on architecture/design and detailed functionality/process requirements.
• Experience designing integrations/interfaces with enterprise systems such as ERP, PLM, SDMS, and other applications.
• LabVantage module experience includes Workflows, Request Management, Advanced Storage & Logistics, and Package Management.
• Experience with the following is a must.
• SDLC and database concepts (Oracle and SQL Server) plus integration design.
