Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a senior Quality Laboratory Manager to coordinate chemistry and microbiology lab activities.

You will drive product quality and regulatory conformance, manage QA processes, and interface with regulators to ensure inspections go smoothly. The role requires extensive experience in a cGMP environment, leadership skills, and a track record of improving quality, reliability, and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science with Biology/Microbiology focus.
• 10+ years in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in a cGMP-regulated industry.
• Experience with environmental monitoring and contamination control.
• Knowledge of USP, FDA, ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage chemistry and microbiology lab activities; ensure quality and regulatory conformance.
• Oversee regulatory conformance in Chemistry/Microbiology labs.
• Lead QA activities; manage compliance in sections/departments.
• Interface with regulators during inspections.
• Lead continuous improvement projects for quality, reliability, and cost.
• Coordinate with Lab Services and QA to maintain operations.
• Advise on procedures, techniques, and equipment; enforce SOPs and cGMP.
• Maintain clean, safe labs; manage inventory and supplies.
• Review testing records for accuracy and GMP compliance.
• Develop budgets and manage coaching, training, and career growth.
• Ensure timely release of products to meet quality requirements and timelines.
• Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Learn and apply rigorous quality standards and SOPs.
