Job Requirements

Essential Job Duties:

1. Prepare work site to locate utilities and eliminate possible hazards.
2. Signal operators to help facilitate movement or alignment of equipment.
3. Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools.
4. Configure pipe routes.
5. Assemble gas piping and equipment.
6. Follow safety standards throughout the process, including during trench digging, pipe installation, grading, and joint sealing.
7. Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels.
8. Cover pipes or cables with dirt or other materials.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Class A CDL preferred
• Willingness to travel
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds regularly
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred
• Education in Gas and Utilities Construction preferred
