Job summary

ROHL Global Networks USA is hiring full-time laborers to join a cable plow crew in our Renewable Energy Division. You will support projects with a broad range of labor tasks, travel across the southeastern United States on 3-week assignments with a one-week break, and lodging is provided with a $50 daily per diem.

You will work under a Crew Foreman as part of an 8-10 person team, assisting with material handling, site prep, safety, and basic equipment operations, while upholding ROHL's safety

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of laborer experience.
• Valid US driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to travel roughly three weeks at a time.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physically demanding work.

Originally established in Western Canada as a leading provider of telecommunications and utility infrastructure design and construction, ROHL has strategically grown into real estate development and management, solar energy systems, and power infrastructure, serving enterprise, government, and wholesale clients.

ROHL Global Networks is hiring full-time, year-round Laborers to join a cable plow crew in our Renewable Energy Division.

The Role

In this role, you will report to the Crew Foreman as a member of an 8-10 man Cable Plow crew. Your key responsibilities as Laborer will be to support ROHL's projects by providing physical labor during all phases of the construction processes. You will provide a broad range of support in areas such as hand work, material movement, clearing terrain, site preparation, shoveling and basic equipment operations. You and your assigned crew will work across the southeastern United States, with each project typically lasting three weeks on-site with one week off in between. Lodging for these assignments will be provided with $50 daily per diem.

Material Management and Site Maintenance:

• Load, unload, and move construction materials around the worksite.
• Signal to operators of construction equipment to ensure the safe alignment and movement of materials.
• Assist in rolling up medium voltage power cables and barricading them safely
• Ensure the worksite is organized and free of clutter, rubble, and garbage to maintain operational efficiency and safety.

Safety and Compliance:

• Execute and adhere to the company's safety program while actively promoting a culture of safety among team members.
• Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections to stay informed of safety protocols and updates.
• Work with the Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents, or near misses at the worksite, ensuring proper procedures are followed according to the company's Safety Program.

• Exhibit professionalism and leadership in all interactions with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

What you Bring

• Previous laborer experience (minimum one year) considered an asset
• Must hold a valid US driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to travel for roughly three weeks at a time
• Lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work for extended periods
• Perform repetitive movements and tasks in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
• Wear required PPE, including hearing protection and respiratory equipment when required
• Work in environments with high noise levels, vibration, and potential musculoskeletal strain
