Responsibilities

• Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of construction materials and equipment
• Hand digging using shovel and mechanical tools
• Installation and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling
• Climbing into and out of equipment (trucks, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)
• Operating or working around heavy machinery
• Working in congested or remote areas
• Maintaining safety and communication with crew members
• Performing general construction work under supervision
• Flagging, property, or worksite restoration
• Maintaining safe working habits per regulations and policies

Minimum requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the US
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant experience
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a DOT physical
• Basic knowledge of utility trucks, equipment, and hand tools
• Effective communication skills
• Regular and timely attendance

Physical and environmental demands

• Perform tasks for at least 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, with possible overtime
• Ability to stand, crouch, sit, bend, reach, climb, lift (up to 100 lbs), and work in adverse weather conditions
• Work while wearing safety gear
• Exposure to dust, fumes, airborne pathogens
