At Star Construction, as a Laborer on our Telecom Underground team, you’ll participate in all phases of underground construction, including loading, delivery, digging, and equipment operation.

What you’ll do as a Laborer

• Perform construction tasks including loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment
• Install underground telecommunications cabling
• Operate construction equipment and maintain work areas
• Communicate clearly with team members
• Complete daily production reports
• Assist with site restoration efforts
• Work in all weather conditions
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• Be 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the United States
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
• Preferred: experience safely operating hand tools and utility trucks

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations, in confined spaces, operate vehicles and heavy machinery, perform fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift over 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladders, keyboards, and mice

Salary Range: $17.00 to $20.00/hr (based on experience)
