Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Experience in utility construction is a plus.

Overview

Looking for an opportunity to make a difference? Then you may have found your next career move. We're looking for a Laborer to join our team and help connect America. The Laborer will complete general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor. Duties may include all phases of underground construction including but not limited to: loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment.

What you'll do...

1. You will dig using hand shovel and mechanical tools
2. You will install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling
3. You will climb in and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)
4. You will operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery
5. You will work in congested or remote areas
6. You will maintain visual and audible contact with other crew members and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement
7. You will perform general construction work under the direction of Foreman/Supervisor
8. You will maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies

Who we are looking for...

1. You are at least 18 years old
2. You are authorized to work in the United States for this company
3. You have a valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License
4. You have basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment safely
5. You have basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment safely
6. You may have experience in utility construction
7. You may have the ability to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify underground utilities
8. You are able to communicate effectively with customers and employees
9. You are able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
10. You can work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies or on-call
11. You can maintain a safe work environment
12. You are able to work in all weather conditions
