Overview and Essential Functions

What You’ll Do

1. Work in all phases of underground construction, including but not limited to: loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of various types, sizes, and weights of construction materials and equipment.
2. Hand dig using shovels and mechanical tools.
3. Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling.
4. Climb into and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.).
5. Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
6. Work in congested or remote areas.
7. Direct traffic flow according to local DOT guidelines.
8. Perform general construction work under the direction of a Foreperson or Operator.
9. Maintain safe working habits and conditions in accordance with all regulations, procedures, and policies.

Who We Are Looking For

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Willingness to work solo and in team environments.
• Experience working in all weather conditions, including inclement weather.
• Self-starter with effective communication skills.
• Ability to travel and work extended hours, including overtime and weekends.
• Ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80 lbs.
