Job summary

North Sky Communications is hiring a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an Aerial Telecom Crew in installing and maintaining fiber/telecom cables. Responsibilities include supplying tools and materials, moving equipment, tagging notifications, and coordinating traffic per DOT guidelines.

Candidates should be 18+, authorized to work in the U.S., with a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license. Certification in pole climbing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the United States
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable record
• Pole climber certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Telecom labor experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
