Doña Ana County is seeking workers for a variety of manual tasks involved in maintaining roads, bridges, and related infrastructure. The role includes assisting crews, digging and filling with hand tools, patching pavement, weed control, and trimming roadside vegetation.
Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of full-time manual labor or construction experience, plus a valid driver’s license. Background checks may be required prior to employment.
Under the supervision of the assigned supervisor, perform a wide variety of manual tasks involved in the maintenance of roads, bridges, and road construction.
Other duties may be assigned.
A. Education. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
B. Experience. A minimum of six (6) months of full-time experience in any combination of manual labor and/or construction work.
C. Education/Experience substitution. In accordance with County policy.
D. Licenses/Certifications. Valid Driver's License. Must maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with County policy.
E. Other (e.g., post-offer medical exam, polygraph, background check, driver's license record, etc.). Must pass pre-employment background and driving record checks.
