Position Summary
The Laborer will perform manual labor tasks using common hand tools and simple power equipment.
Essential Functions Of The Position
- Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances, moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrow or hand truck.
- Stacks materials for storage or binning, collects refuse and salvageable materials, digs, fills, and tamp earth excavations.
- Levels ground using pick, shovel, tamper and rake, shovels concrete and snow; cleans culverts and ditches.
- Cuts tree and brush; operates power lawnmowers, moves and arranges heavy pieces of office and household furniture, equipment, and appliance, moves heavy pieces of automotive, medical engineering, and other types of machinery and equipment, spreads sand and salt on icy roads and walkways, and picks up leaves and trash.
- Supports and enforces the RRST QC/Safety program with all directed guidance.
- Understands and complies with all Performance Work Statement requirements.
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
- Required to walk, stand, sit, and move about the property for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications And Expectations
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Ability to follow oral or written instructions in English.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Work Environment
- Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
- Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain CAC access, including network access.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to maintain post-driving privileges.
- Prior experience working with/for the US Military, a plus.
- Must be able to maintain proper state registration, proof of insurance, and a valid driver's license to operate Privately Owned Vehicles (POV) on a military installation.
