The Laborer I will perform a variety of tasks to support construction operations, including material handling, site cleanup, and assisting skilled tradespeople. Key Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Assist with loading and unloading construction materials, equipment and tools, ensuring safe and efficient handling and transportation to designated work areas; organize and maintain construction materials, supplies and equipment on‑site, keeping inventory well organized and accessible to crew members.
• Site Cleanup: Perform general cleanup and debris removal at construction sites, including sweeping, shoveling and disposing of waste materials in designated containers or disposal areas; maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and housekeeping standards.
• Assistance to Skilled Trades: Provide assistance and support to skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, ironworkers and welders by fetching tools, materials and equipment as needed; assist with simple construction tasks such as digging trenches, pouring concrete and setting up scaffolding under the direction of experienced workers.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training sessions; report any safety hazards, incidents or near misses to supervisors immediately and take appropriate corrective actions as directed.
• Equipment Maintenance: Assist with basic maintenance and cleaning of construction equipment, tools and machinery, including lubricating moving parts, cleaning surfaces and performing routine inspections; report any equipment malfunctions, damage or defects to supervisors for repair or replacement.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other crew members, subcontractors and project stakeholders to ensure efficient and timely completion of construction tasks; communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to receive instructions, provide updates on work progress and coordinate activities.
