Job summary

Cagwin & Dorward Landscaping in San Jose is seeking a Landscape Construction Laborer to help install and build commercial and residential landscape projects. You'll work outdoors on active job sites, performing a variety of tasks and supporting irrigation installations.

What You'll Do

As a Landscape Construction Laborer, you'll play a key role in installing and building commercial and residential landscape projects. Responsibilities include:

• Perform a variety of landscape construction tasks on active job sites
• Dig trenches and assist with underground irrigation installations
• Load, unload, and transport soil, rock, mulch, plants, and construction materials
• Assist with site preparation, grading, and cleanup activities
• Load, unload, and distribute pipe, fittings, tools, and related materials
• Safely operate landscape construction equipment and power tools including:
  • Trenchers
  • Rototillers
  • Augers
  • Saws
  • Compressors
  • Jackhammers
  • Drills
  • Small tractor loaders
• Follow all company safety standards and procedures
• Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and safely

What We're Looking For

• Landscape construction, landscaping, or general construction experience is preferred
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
• Positive attitude and team-first mindset
• Ability to follow directions and work safely around equipment and jobsite hazards
• Valid California Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
