Job summary

Miller Pipeline, LLC is seeking hardworking Laborers to support gas distribution crews in repair, maintenance, construction, installation, and fusion of plastic pipe. Responsibilities include lifting, shoveling, operating hauling vehicles, and assisting in reconditioning pipelines.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of outdoor work, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a DOT physical. Prior field/labor experience is preferred and travel is frequent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years’ experience considered in lieu of education.
• Valid Driver's License; ability to obtain DOT medical card.
• 1 year of outdoor work or manual labor experience required.
• Must pass company-specific testing.

Miller Pipeline is looking to add hardworking Laborers to work on our gas distribution pipeline crews. Duties include assisting in the repair, maintenance, construction, installation, and fusion of plastic pipe, and in the reconditioning of gas distribution pipelines.

Main Responsibilities:

• Properly lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.


• Compress soil and asphalt.


• Shovel material, soil and cold patch asphalt mix.


• Operate vehicles used for hauling.


• Assist in the demolition, take-up and reconditioning of old pipe.


• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.


• Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.


• Travel frequently within the area for work assignments.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years’ experience in lieu of education will be considered.


• Valid Driver's License.


• 1 year of outdoor work or manual labor experience required.


• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.


• Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment (reimbursed upon hire).


• Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year gas construction experience.


• Class A CDL.
