Summary

This position involves physical labor at construction sites and assisting other workers. Tasks include operating hand and power tools such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and other tools. Responsibilities also include site cleaning and preparation, trench digging, setting braces, erecting scaffolding, and debris cleanup.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards
• Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, and distribute them appropriately
• Control traffic near work zones with proper training
• Signal equipment operators for machinery alignment and movement with proper training
• Dig trenches, backfill excavations, or level earth using various tools
• Potentially enter trenches or confined spaces after training
• Understand and follow safety protocols as directed by supervisors
